Yoga

My good friend Abbey is an amazing Yoga teacher and Nick and I have started going to her class. It's so refreshing to do yoga. It's really hard, but I'm excited to see my progress as I continue to go. I also really need to work on my breathing.

She'll say exhale........inhale.........exhale,

and I'll have already done that 8 times.

I know that breath is everything in yoga and I've got to figure out how to slow mine down. Nick absolutely loves it, he loves anything from India, and he's fascinated by what meditation can do for you.

Any tips for a brand new yoga couple?

  1. What kind of breathing technique do they study? My yoga studio practices Pranayama breathing, which you make this noise in the back of your throat when you exhale. It helps you focus on breathing a help you slow down your breathe. I get a lot of benefit from yoga. Really helps with my stress levels. Good for you for signing up.

  2. I love yoga! It's amazing the difference you'll see in your body! I've always been fit and healthy, and I still saw a big difference in my body, and especially just how well my body can move now with stretching and stuff...it's awesome!

  4. Yoga is so cool! Fun fact: as you continue to do yoga, you'll "grow" because all of the stretching and strengthening exercises will improve your posture and give you an extra half inch or so!
