I walked out with this little number and Nick said I looked like a smurf and that I didn't match. I had him take the pictures anyway because I thought it looked okay. Well I was dead wrong. I saw these tights and I thought they'd look perfect with this skirt, but it's totally not workin.  So I decided to post these pictures in black and white.

Wednesday Inspiration

It's hard to not worry about what others think of you. There are times when I worry about an interaction I've had with someone, worrying that I said something dumb or did something that upset them. When I came across this on Pintrest, I loved it. It's so true that you can't control what others think or say about you, but you can control your character. I'd much rather have high character than worry about my reputation. However, I think if you have character, then your reputation will follow.

Laundry Mishaps

The first year of our marriage I didn't do Nick's laundry. But, I finally decided it'd be easier for me to just do his because then I could put it all away too, and it wouldn't be left in the dryer for a few days. Well since I've started doing his laundry I've shrunk 4 of his shirts. I always dry all my clothes so I just decided to dry all his. Big surprise....That didn't go over too well.

So to make up for it I bought him 4 replacement shirts.

Well, I thought I learned my lesson, but this last week I not only shrunk another shirt, I shrunk his very favorite shirt. So now our deal is for every shirt I shrink, I have to buy him 2 shirts. Hopefully this will force me to be a little more careful.

Awkward

You'd think I'd be used to this by now, having my picture taken and people looking at me. Not so much. There was a family at the park and they were staring at me having my pic taken. I was so embarrassed and my face totally showed it. Nick stopped, and said, "Katie how is it that you are able to put tons of pictures of yourself on the internet, yet if two people are looking at you you are mortified?" Yeah, doesn't make sense, but it is just sooooo awkward.

Too Much

Cobalt

I am loving the cobalt trend and when I saw this jacket at Forever 21 my shopping diet came to an end.
By the way I'm doing very well with this diet. I've only bought this one jacket, I was tempted to buy more but I refrained. My birthday is coming up in a couple weeks, but that doesn't count right?!?

Mango Lassi

Last night Nick and I went to our favorite restaurant Taste of India.  I honestly felt so full I thought I was going to burst.  You know you are loving your food, when you're sad when you start to feel full.  If you want to try heaven on Earth then you need to go to an Indian restaurant and order Mango Lassi. I could live on that stuff and I'm sure you could too.
