Just Go With It

Nick and I ran a lot of errands on Saturday and when I woke up I just wasn't in the mood to take a shower, so this is me about 30 minutes after I got out of bed, ready to take on the day!  I love running around on Saturdays, especially if Nick is there to be my constant entertainment.

You Don't Always Get What You Pay For

I never spend a lot of money on shoes, okay maybe not never, but very rarely. I think the most I've ever spent is $100.

Well, Nick and I went shopping for my 30th birthday and I saw the boots in the pic below and had to have them. Even though they were $150! I justified it by saying,

"You only turn 30 once!"

Well the THIRD time I wore them the laces completely fell apart. Luckily they were from Nordstrom so I was able to take them back, but the stupid thing was they were all sold out. So I just took the money and left.

Well while browsing the mall I stopped by Charlotte Russe and saw basically the exact same pair of boots for only $30!

That's right, $120 cheaper!!

Nothing like that feeling you get when you know you just saved yourself a whole lotta money.

I love it.

And actually I kinda like the Charlotte Russe boots better. This is why I shop at stores like Charlotte Russe and Forever 21, because they have clothes that look like the expensive stuff, but you don't leave with buyers remorse.

I'm a happy girl.

Tip Toes

I noticed while looking at these pictures that if I'm not wearing high heels, I stand on my tip toes. I think it's my attempt at looking taller. My mom says when I was a little girl I was constantly walking around on my toes, maybe it's the dancer in me, and maybe it's because I am short. Either way, I think it helps build calf muscles.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This is Nick and me on our first Thanksgiving together. His cute sister Kami made these hats for everybody. I have so much to be thankful for. My husband, family, inlaws, friends, my job, my health, the blessings that I receive on a daily basis. I know that my life has been lead by God and I am forever grateful for the abundance of goodness in my life.

Better

Thanks for the nice messages yesterday, I was having quite a dramatic moment.  I even had to go back and delete some of the things I wrote.  But now I've calmed down and realize I do enjoy doing this blog and if I don't post everyday, the world is still going to go on.  It's important to remember our "hobbies" are supposed to be fun and I'm glad that I was reminded of that yesterday.

Sometimes

I've been thinking about this little blog of mine and I wonder how long I'll continue to do it.

Somedays, I just don't feel like putting up another picture of me, I mean, even I get sick of looking at it.

Truth is, I love days when I don't have to do my hair, get dressed, or put my makeup on.

In fact, it's Monday, and I haven't washed my hair since Saturday, and I feel great about that.

Sometimes, I don't want to think up another outfit to put on this blog.

Sometimes I don't want to spend another cent on shopping.

Sometimes I have absolutely nothing to say.

 Sometimes, I just want to wear flip flops and can't stand the thought of wearing heels.

Sometimes I can't stand watching celebrities and how obsessed they are with what they're wearing and what they look like.

 Sometimes, actually a lot of times, I love being around people that could care less about fashion and what they look like.

 It's refreshing.

Weddings

I went to my good friend Megan's wedding this weekend. I loved every second of it. I love hearing the bride and groom talk about how in love they are and how the other has changed their life.  It's the best day of your life thus far (hopefully).

It  made me want to get married all over again, to Nick, of course.

The best memory I have of my wedding was how calm and peaceful I was all day.

Summer to Fall

I love seeing people's summer wardrobe be turned into fall or winter clothes. I would have never dared to wear this "summer" skirt in the fall, but I think pairing it with tights and a sweater it works.

Happy Birthday to my Love

The person I can't wait to come home to each day. The person who makes me laugh all day long. The person who understands me.  The person who I'm sooo glad I waited for. The person who I am so lucky to call my husband. I love you Nick.

Wind Blown

I just love trying to take pictures when it's super windy outside. The whole time I was trying to tame my hair, but it wasn't working too well. So you get the wind blown look.

H&M

H&M opened up in Utah yesterday and today I'm going to go check it out.

I heard it's just a wall of people and I want in on the action!

I don't know about other Utahans but I'm really excited to have an H&M so close.

So hopefully I'll find some great deals and won't have to wait in line for 2 hours to buy something.

Don't Ask

I'm a teacher and I told my students that this weekend was my birthday.

 Then I stupidly asked them to guess how old I turned.  Did they say 25? 22? 27?

NOPE.

More like..... 46!!!  39!!! 34!!! 36!!!

The student that finally guessed under 30 got a prize from me.

I learned my lesson, don't ask how old people think you are...  especially kids...
