St. George

We had such a great time with the Redd's this weekend.  It's always so nice to get away, and especially to a place that is so warm!

Swimming at Entrada

Dinner at Anasazi Steakhouse

The BEST Chocolate Fondue I've ever had.  I had already eaten the rice krispies by the time I took this shot.

Me with the rice krispie.

After dinner we weren't quite ready to go home and we all decided we weren't dying to see Pirates, which was our original plan, so we decided to go to the batting cages.  My shoulders are still sore.

At the batting cages.

Why wouldn't I pose with my batting gear on??

My Memorial

This Memorial Day I'm mourning something a little more vain. On Friday on our way to St. George I looked down at my wedding ring and saw this..................

Yep. My Diamond is gone. I have only had it for a little over a year too. I freaked out and almost swerved off the freeway and then Nick suggested we call our jeweler and see if we got it insured.

Hallefreakinglujah!!! We got it insured. So now all I have to do is take what remains and they will replace it!!! So I highly suggest everyone get their ring insured just incase.

Weekend in Vegas

Nick and I are headed to St. George and Vegas for the weekend.  I thought this outfit was perfect for a day in Vegas; rollercoasters, shopping, eating, pools, and lots of people watching.  Have a great weekend!

Old School Bubble Gum

I don't know about you, but this was one of my all time favorite gum.  It's powdery, but then all of a sudden it turns into gum.  I wish they sold it at local stores!

I don't know about you, but Dubble Bubble reminds me of summer and being out on the boat

This reminds me of my childhood.  A couple months ago when I was in Southern California I found this at a 711 and it was as good as I remember.

Welcome!

I am so excited to announce my new website!!  I've been thinking about doing it for a while and Nick has helped me a ton to make it happen.  I realized, "Hey I am married to a graphic designer, my blog should look amazing!"  So he was happy to design me a new website.

I've been thinking a lot about what some of my passions are and of course I am passionate about my career in teaching, but I also have a lot of other things I love.  As they say, you should do what you're passionate about.  I have always loved fashion and photography. I'm going to be showing some of my fashion ideas and I'll be using myself as the model...  Am I a fashion expert? Absolutely not.  Am I a model?  Of course not, my 5"2' gymnast looking body doesn't think so. But it's something I love to do and I'm going to face some of my insecurities and just do it!  You only live once and if people think it's weird or dumb that I put pictures up of myself in different outfits, then they can stop looking at the website.  I'm just here to have fun and show some of the things I love.

Summer Dress Up

Doesn't this outfit just look perfect for a summer night going out on the town.  The hat also makes me think that I should be going to the Kentucky Derby.

Bike Ride?

I got all nice and dressed up for a night on the town with my husband and before I knew it we were on a 10 mile bike ride.  Yes, my high heeled Toms and white pants were in for the ride.

We Go Through Phases

Since we became married folk we seem to go through phases.  Some last about 3 days and others hang on for over a month.  Some of our phases have been:

-House hunting Phase

- Puppy Phase

- Television Phase

-Frogurt Phase

-Frisby Phase

-Selling everything we own on KSL Phase

-Helicopter Phase

- Oreo Phase

As of the last 3 days Nick has brought us into......... wait for it..........  Camping Phase.  I remember before we got married many a conversation about how we didn't see ourselves being campers, and staying a night at the Motel 6 is about as "campy" as we'd get.  Well since he is now in a "phase" camping is all he can talk and think about.  I tried to remind him about the no showers, no bathroom, and having to spit your toothpaste out on the dirt.  Something about that reallllllyyyyy creeps me out.  Those reasons were not dimming the light in his baby blues...

Tonight you should have seen the excitement come over Nick when he got his foam pad.  He was way more excited about that than he was for Christmas.  No lie.  I love when he gets real passionate about something.  It's cute.  So our first camping trip is planned for this weekend with his family.  It will be an adventure and I'm going to have a good attitude, because if you know Nick at all you can agree that he can sell anything.  He can be selling you so well on a subject and the next second he can flip it and start selling you on the other side of the argument.  Yeah, he's talented like that.

U2

Last night I was able to check off something that's been on my life list for a while.  We saw U2!!  It was an amazing show.  Bono was really gracious and had so much passion for each song he sang.  The only down side was that they didn't sing my favorite song "Bad".  I think everyone should add seeing U2 in concert to their life list.
